Privacy policy

SCOPE
The AEP – Associação Empresarial de Portugal (Portuguese Business Association), hereby referred to as «AEP», is a private non-profit organization that respects the privacy of its counterparts. AEP’s Privacy Policy aims to provide information regarding the organization and how we collect and process personal data, who we share them with and how long we keep them; it also contains our contact information so that you can exercise your rights.
 
DATA CONTROLLER
The data controller of the personal data is AEP – Associação Empresarial de Portugal, legal entity number 500 971 31, based in Avenida da Boavista, 2671, 4100-135 Porto, Portugal, phone number +351 229 981 500. In certain cases, AEP will act as a subcontractor, processing its data on behalf of other entity, which will act as data controller; this will happen with financed programmes.
In such cases, duly indicated, we recommend you to please review our privacy policy and/or other information regarding data processing by checking with the data controllers.
 
INFORMATION PROCESSING
The AEP commits to handle personal data in a lawful and transparent way.
Personal data will only be collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and not further processed in a manner incompatible with those purposes.

  • 1. With a legitimate interest to do so, in particular:
    • 1.1. Website maintenance of www.n-investportugal.pt;
    • 1.2. Supply of services;
    • 1.3. To ensure information security;
    • 1.4. To register for events organised or supported by AEP as part of the N-Invest project;
    • 1.5. As long as in each case, our interest is in accordance with the applicable legislation and your rights;
  • 3. Where necessary to comply with legal obligations.
 
WHAT WE HANDLE YOUR INFORMATION FOR
When you fill in the forms in our website, the personal data provided, like your name, e-mail address, phone number or address, are collected by AEP and handled to address the requests you have made.
 
INFORMATION STORAGE PERIOD
The AEP will retain and store the data only for the time necessary to meet the purposes which led to their collection and processing, except in the cases where there is a specific legal requirement.
 
RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT
The data subject may at any time exercise his or her right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing of data or objection and where applicable, the right to data portability.
If the processing of data is based on consent, the data subject shall have the right to withdraw his or her consent at any time, even though the withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
If consent is legally necessary to process the personal data, the data subject shall have the right to withdraw his or her consent at any time, even though that right shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal or the further processing of the same data on some other legal basis, such as the performance of the contract or the compliance of a legal obligation to which AEP is subject to.

Proof of ID may be requested to ensure that the personal data are only shared with the data subject.
You should keep in mind that in certain cases (for instance, due to legal requirements), the request may not be immediately executed.
At any rate, you will be informed of the measures that were taken to comply with your request within one month after the date of the request.
You are entitled to bring a complaint to Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (Portuguese Data Protection Authority) .
 
SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY
The AEP is committed to ensuring security and confidentiality of the collected personal data. However, the transmission of information over the Internet is not completely secure and for this reason, we cannot completely guarantee the security of the information transmitted through this website - www.n-investportugal.pt.
The AEP has been implementing several security arrangements in order to protect personal data from any unlawful use, and it also requires that its partners implement equivalent security arrangements. We do not sell or make your information available in any other way to any party.
The AEP commits to keeping your information confidential, according to this Privacy Policy or to the applicable legislation.
 
CHANGES TO THE SECURITY POLICY
The AEP may, at any time, update this Privacy Policy. Therefore, you should periodically review this document to keep up to date.
